The Practice of Baptism
For those seeking to be baptized, baptisms are scheduled weekly at each of our worship services. During a baptism an individual has the opportunity to share with the worshipping community their decision to follow Jesus Christ. Baptism is a picture and an illustration—a symbolic act. It illustrates the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ on our behalf and our subsequent faith in Him. It is not necessary for salvation, but is strongly associated with salvation as it best illustrates our new identity with Jesus Christ.
How to be Baptized
At the conclusion of each of our worship services, the pastor will lead the congregation in a time of invitation. At that time, anyone who is interested in joining the church, getting baptized, or making profession of faith in Jesus Christ are asked to walk forward and visit with one of our New Team volunteers. It is at that time, you may learn more about baptism and schedule your baptism at church.
